As I write this, I can’t believe it’s August already. The rally launch, boules competition and the late Summer Bank Holiday are all coming up, hopefully the weather improves!
Andy Warne has been busy making new, larger signs, and as a committee we have recently upgraded our P.A system, and of course probably the most important addition to the equipment is the defibrillator.
Now is also the time to think about next year, particularly if you could give up a couple of hours per month to help keep the centre running by joining the committee, meetings are still held on zoom, so no travelling, and it’s a great way to get even more out of this great hobby. Nomination Forms are available on the website and need to be received by the Secretary by September 24th. 2023. Several centres have gone into hibernation this year, and it would be a real shame if Leicestershire followed. If you need any more information, please contact me or any present committee member.
In September we have the inter centre fishing competition, even if fishing isn’t your thing, Shelt Hill is a lovely site and I am sure Cliff and the team would be grateful of the support.
