Now that we are getting a clearer picture of running rallies during the Pandemic, it has confirmed our fears that it will be impossible to continue with most of the winter events where the main point of attending is to join in with Social activities indoors.
The current legislation is only allowing for 30 people congregating with social distancing so as a result of this Ratcliffe College has cancelled the New Year Rally.
For the same reason we have also reluctantly decided to cancel the Last Fling Rally at Hose.
The rally scheduled for Quorn Railway in November will now be cancelled as the Marshalls have withdrawn their services because of health issues and no-one else has come forward to run it. But with the Loughborough street fair scheduled for that weekend being cancelled along with only a limited amount of trains running, it’s becoming less and less appealing to attend.
So, as it now stands the following rallies will continue.
Beverley holiday rally.
Bitteswell 25th Sept
Copt Oak AGM 9th Oct
Lakeside holiday rally over half term week
Barnstones, Banbury in November.
We will keep reviewing the situation to see if any of the rallies early into 2021 can continue, but obviously this will be dependent on what happens to the ongoing Pandemic and government guidelines in relation to social distancing.
Thank you for being patient and understanding, we will continue to make decisions with safety being of paramount importance.
